PATENT (UNDER PROCESSING)/ INNOVATION
● Blasting is an important activity in all the mines and quarries, carried out regularly, for fragmenting and displacing rock mass for further loading and transporting. The ground vibrations carry seismic energy, a part of the wasted explosive energy in the blasting process. The intensity of ground vibrations varies from few hundreds of mm/s at closed distances from the blast site to a few mm/s at longer distances. There is a potential for tapping electric energy from the ground vibrations generated from the blasts conducted in mines and quarries using piezo sensors.
● No attempt has been made till now to tap electrical energy from the ground vibrations (shock waves) generated due to blasting operations in mines and quarries using any technique. The present study is of significance in that respect.
● The research work under way focuses on tapping of electrical energy from undesirable ground vibrations caused due to blasting operations, with piezo based circuit models.

CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITY
● Conducted Vibration Studies with about 200+ blasts in various mines and quarries of different types of rock formations in a span of three years for research work till now and converted so much of the seismic energy obtained due to blasting into useful electricity.

FUTURE RESEARCH PLANNING
● Planning to extract electrical energy from the vibrations obtained from moving train as a renewable energy resource, if possible.

TRAINING
● Got trained at A.P. GENERATION CORPORATION LTD, Dr. Narla Tatarao Thermal Power Station (formerly VTPS - Vijayawada Thermal Power Station), VIJAYAWADA and studied the operation of each and every section in the Thermal Power Plant, during Jun. 01-18, 2009.

● Development of a circuit which converts mechanical vibrations into electricity without any dynamic machines at National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
● Design of a circuit for illuminating damaged fluorescent tube light at RIET, Rajahmundry.
● Modelling and Control of BLDC motor with Genetic Algorithm based Optimized PID Controller at BVCEC, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.
● Fluid Temperature Control using Pulse Width Modulation at BVCITS, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.

● Elected as a Ph.D. Representative in Students’ Council Elections during 2016-17.
